They’ve dived into the discussion of the following topics:
We debaters have been struggling with bottomless modifications of our cases and tension when facing break announcements for every single round no matter how diplomatic we should have become throughout plentiful rounds we’ve attended. When I first started my debate journey six months ago, I’ve once been defeated by two sixth graders and experienced numerous dissatisfactions when encountering judges with solidified perspectives towards the resolutions, but it is those setbacks that truly bring on the charms of debating. The process of debating and meeting debater families goes far beyond solid excellence. Lectures from David Cao along with all the previous rounds I’ve participated redefine the term: instead of a brawl where people are blue in the face, debate is more likely a polite hot discussion where people argue back to their opponents not merely because they are at opposite positions, but because they see logical fallacies.”
