In 1875, Sophia Smith founded Smith College with the goal to bring unique women to the world. As the No. 2 private women’s college located in the States, Smith College has a tradition for cultivating leaders. From writer Margaret Mitchell to first lady Nancy Reagan, many Smith graduates find their position in this world. Today, Smith College push woman beyond their intellectual passions and allow them to discover what empowers and inspires them.
Smith College is an actual university with a full master’s and doctoral system, its investment in undergraduate program is even greater than its graduate school (which is rare in American universities.)
With a broad-liberal art curriculum, Smith College links liberal arts to excellence in research and scholarship, thereby developing engaged global citizens and leaders to address society’s challenges.
