别过夏花的绚烂，走近秋叶的静美；度过愉快的暑假，回到美丽的校园。新学期伊始，我们初中部全体师生汇聚一堂，在学校大剧院隆重举行开学典礼，来迎接我们的新学年。

Summer is leaving and autumn is right around the corner. We have spent a pleasant summer vacation and returned to the beautiful campus. In the new semester, we will have a brand new start and the new era of planting our hope. On this delightful day, all the teachers and students of our middle school came together to celebrate our new school year.

开学典礼

升旗仪式是开学典礼最神圣、隆重的环节，面对着鲜艳的五星红旗，全体师生奏唱国歌，大剧院一片肃穆庄严。

The flag-raising ceremony is the most important part of the opening ceremony. Facing the bright five-star red flag, all the teachers and students sang the national anthem. The grand theatre is solemn.

新学期，新希望，新征程，新挑战。学校领导对同学们寄予了很大的期望。全校长首先向师生们隆重介绍了我校新外籍校长——Mr. Norm Martin；接下来他分享了自己假期中“跟着李白游中国”的活动，勉励大家既要读万卷书，更要行万里路；此外他还介绍了他假期中参与小学部澳大利亚游学活动的情况；最后他谆谆告诫同学们一定要要树立“为中华民族之复兴而努力读书”的远大理想。

New semester, new hope, new journey, a new challenge. The school leaders placed great expectations on the students. Principal, Mr. Quan first introduced the new foreign principal of our school, Mr. Norm Martin, to the teachers and students. Then he shared his holiday activities of “Following Li Bai’s footprints and visiting places of interest”, encouraging everyone to read more books. In addition, he also introduced her journey to Australia with the primary school students and teachers. Finally, he told the students that they must establish a lofty ideal of “working hard for the revival of China”.

2019届的初三学长们在今年的中考中仍不负众望取得了优异成绩。九年级组长王彩利老师汇报了九年级学长们创造的辉煌成绩，并勉励2020届初中毕业生勤奋努力，再创辉煌。同学们真诚为学长们喝彩，同时也明白了从现在开始，抓紧每一分每一秒好好学习，为明天而努力奋斗。

   Students who graduated in 2019 have achieved great results in the entrance examination for senior high school. The teacher of Grade 9, Ms. Wang Caili, reported the brilliant results and encouraged the new Grade 9 students to work diligently and create greater glories. The students sincerely applauded the seniors. At the same time, we also understood that from this moment, we should pay close attention to every minute to study hard and work hard for tomorrow.

最后，由初中部刘主任发言。刘主任首先向大家介绍了校园假期的新变化，在炎炎夏日有一支辛勤的施工队为我们创造出了更好的学习环境。其次，新的学期，协和大家庭又加入了一百多名新生与几名新老师，相信他们在协和将拥有一段难忘的旅程。

Finally, Mr. Liu, the director of the middle school, gave a speech. Director Liu first introduced the new changes of our campus during the summer holiday. In the hot summer, a hard-working team created a better learning environment for us. Secondly, in the new semester, over 100 new students and several new teachers has joined SUIS WY family. We believe that they will have an unforgettable journey in SUIS.
