2019年10月15日和16日两天,小学部一年级迎来了本学期的第一次家长开放日活动。丰富的课程展示不仅让家长们看到了自己的孩子在校园生活中的具体表现,也感受到了他们的点滴进步。On October 15th and 16th of 2019, the grade one of the primary school experienced the first Open Day in this semester. The rich curriculum display not only allowed parents to see the specific performance of their children’s campus life, but also felt their gradual progress and achievements.
语文课上进行的“拼音王国历险记”让小朋友们在游戏中拼拼读读,寓教于乐;“Adventures in the Phonics Kingdom” in Chinese Class allowed children to spell, read and entertain in the game.
数学课上通过“摸一摸”、“玩一玩”的方式让小朋友们感知到了各种物体的形状与特征.During the Math Class, children felt the shapes and characteristics of various objects through touching and playing.
英语课以讲故事、看动画的形式来介绍自己的好朋友,在游戏中试图描述自己的朋友同时体会朋友的重要性;In English Language Class, students introduced their good friends through the form of telling stories and watching animations. While playing the game, they tried to describe their friends and at the same time realized the importance of friendship.
体育课以热身运动开场,过程以剪刀石头布的“抢夺游戏”为主,最后以体操动作的练习结尾;Physical Education began with a warm-up exercise. The process was based on the “Grabbing Game” of Rock-Paper-Scissors, and ended with the practice of gymnastics.
音乐课使小朋友们认识了不同的乐器,感受了节拍并尝试根据音乐故事创编节奏;Music Class enabled the children to learn about different instruments, feel the beat and try to create a rhythm based on the music stories.
SSRW课以字母G为主要学习对象,不仅讨论了字母的发音,还对以G开头的单词展开了头脑风暴。SSRW used letter G as the main learning objective. Students not only discussed the pronunciation of the letters, but also brainstormed the words which begins with G.
虽然开放日的时间是有限的,但是却为小朋友和家长们带来了无限的惊喜,家长和孩子们都意犹未尽。家长通过此次活动,了解了孩子在校的学习情况、学校教育的要求以及学校教学的理念和方法,近距离地观察学生在校的学习生活方式。许多家长纷纷表示希望能更深入地参与到孩子的教育中,通过聚焦课堂,为孩子们点赞。之后的日子里,我们将本着孩子成长进步的目标、带着家长的认可与期待,携手家校,为孩子的健康成长不断努力!Although the time of the Open Day was limited, it brought infinite surprises to both children and parents. Through this activity, parents learned about the teaching and learning method and process at school, the requirements of the school curriculum and the concepts of our education system. They closely observed and are immersed in the students’ learning lifestyle at school. Many parents have expressed their sincere hope to participate more thoroughly in their children’s education, to praise them and give them compliments .With the recognition and expectation of our parents, we will continue to work hard for the healthy and positive growth of our children!
