Redeemer Study Tour:an Unforgettable and Immersive Learning Experience
游学Redeemer:一次有深度的成长经历
——万源协和小学部布里斯本游学掠影
Teresa: I was shocked when I got into the classroom. The students can sit on the floor to listen and work on the sofa. After a week’s learning, I was really joyful to study with my class. I love the class which is called ’Rotations’. We get work to do in every group, and after 15 minutes, we rotate, so we can do many different tasks just in one class. That is cool!
My buddy is a girl who is called Katie. She is very hard-working and she id really good at playing the violin. She helps me whenever I need help, I am a good friend of hers. I am thankful to her.
Elia: The class is fun, sometimes when I feel sad, it can make me laugh and I will be happy. They have some robot classes. And I learn lots of things about robot in that class.
Cindy: Camping is the best! Fannie and me built a tent with Mr Vassallo. Then we made damper (a very traditional Australian bread) and saved it for the campfire. The damper that had been cooked (especially with honey and jam) were super delicious. After eating our spaghetti and use Tim Tam to drink marllow we went for a walk. We all brought our glowsticks. We see some wallabies! Next we sang songs around the campfire. I’ll never forget that that night.
Elia: Our camping was fun too! I slept with Annie that night, we were both timid, especially at night we walked in the bush and we couldn’t turn on the head torch. We saw many wallabies and they were so cute.
Harry: I was so happy and excited to have our camping. We bought many things for camping. We had fun there too. We played cricket, I like it very much. We built many tents to keep warm, we brought sleeping bags too. But I still felet cold at night.
Happy: Stolz Oval is a good place for camping, it’s big and it has many different animals like wallabies, ducks which are very interesting. We can build the tent with our friend. We make our food called damper, It is just bread and we can put in some honey or strawberry jam in it. It tastes delicious. We learn PE too! The teacher teaches us how to play cricket and what we need to do. It’s fun!
Cindy: My homestay is also nice. She is talkative and went to many places with me. She is good at cooking and tennis. She always takes care of me. I like her very much.
Fannie: I have a great homestay. It is a family with Dad, Mum, a girl called Charlotte, a boy called Jasper and a dog called Sascha. There is a trampoline and some chickens too.
Happy: My buddy’s name is Emily and she is my homestay too. She has two sisters called Lilly and Jasmin. At spare time we can watch TV, play board games, make food and draw pictures. I have a great time with them.
Jimmy: Our family is kind to me. They always make me yummy lunch and dinner. They took me to the city centre and we go to the street festival. We also go to Sunnybank to have dumplings.
Joseph: I think my homestay is very good too. They cook nice food and giving us nice places to sleep. I like my home very much.
Teresa: My homestay is a nice family. Ally, Grace and Charli are the three girls in the family. There are two dogs and a cat although I haven’t seen the cat a lot. They have a huge and beautiful house with a playground. They take care of me every day, they pack me great lunch that I can finish them every day. I am going to remember them even when I grow up!
Eric: My homestay is great. They bring me the best food and try to let me feel at home. They bring me to the shopping center, They bring me to the restaurant.
Teresa: Last Saturday we went to the mountain and saw the whole Brisbane. The scenery is fabulous! We saw that there are only five or six buildings that are high, others are houses. I love the scenery on the mountain.
Elia: I think Brisbane is very clean and the people are very civilized. And their home is not like us. We have rubbish bins everywhere. In their home, they just have one or two rubbish bins.
