回想我们万源学子赴加拿大研学时还是寒冬腊月，转眼已是阳春三月了，我们作为东道主迎来了回访的加拿大同学们，心中一片欣喜雀跃。

2019年3月9日，与我们结对的加拿大Mulgrave学校的十几位同学来到了上海万源城协和双语学校初中部，进行为期两周的研学回访。

东西融合的万源协和向这些异国他乡的朋友们张开热情的臂膀，使他们领略协和多元的校园文化进而了解中国的传统习俗，了解中国的与时俱进。我们渴望这样思想与文化的沟通，渴望更多外国人了解中国文化，因此这次接待使我们产生一种责任感和使命感。

In retrospect, when our students from SUIS went to Canada to study, they were still in the cold winter. In a twinkling of an eye, in March, we, as the host, with our hearts filled with joy, welcomed the Canadian students and teachers who visited us back. From March 9 to March 22, 2019, students from Mulgrave School came to Wanyuan for a two-week study visit.

远方的客人傍晚时分到达上海，我们15位同学及家长早早来到学校，兴奋地准备迎接加拿大朋友们。小别又重逢，我们激动地握手拥抱，嘘寒问暖。

之后，小客人们随结对家庭回到他们在中国上海的“新家”。我们用自己独特的方式给伙伴们准备了迎接仪式，希望他们能有宾至如归的感觉。在这14天里，我们尽地主之谊带他们领略舌尖上的中国，品尝各色美食；使他们了解普通中国家庭的日常生活，民风民俗；向他们展示国际化大都市上海海纳百川的海派文化！他们也表示了对上海的喜爱之情，认为上海既现代又古老，充满了魅力！

The guests arrived in Shanghai in the evening. 15 of our classmates and their parents came to school early and were excited to welcome our Canadian friends. Meeting again, we shook hands and hugged excitedly.

Later, the guests returned to their “new home” with their homestay families. We have prepared the welcome ceremony for our buddies in our own unique way, hoping that they would feel at home. In these 14 days, we made the best of the friendship of hosts. We took them to taste various kinds of delicacies, and make them understand the daily life and folk customs of ordinary Chinese families. We showed them the Shanghai culture of tolerance, as an international metropolis! In return, they expressed their love for Shanghai, believing that Shanghai is both modern and ancient!

每周一加拿大Mulgrave学校的同学们会跟随我们插班上课，体验协和丰富多元的课程。作为双语学校，我们的老师和同学们展现出了扎实的语言能力，双语自动换频交流，沟通流畅无阻。我们有时教结对同学说几句中文，他们也非常乐于尝试，丝毫不退怯。在校园的各个功能区，在各个学科教室的课堂上，协和的老师和同学们都能热情开放地与加拿大同学们打招呼、交流，使他们感到被接纳和认同。

Every Monday, Canadian students followed us in class to experience the rich and diverse courses of SUIS. As a bilingual school, our teachers and students have demonstrated a solid language ability by communicating with them in a smooth way. Sometimes we taught them a few Chinese, and they were also very willing to try, not shy at all. In each corner of the campus, in the classrooms of various disciplines, SUIS teachers and students greeted and communicated with Canadian students enthusiastically and openly, making them feel accepted and recognized.

课堂学习之余，加拿大Mulgrave学校的同学在老师的带领下，来到上海的各名胜古迹游览。我们一起登上了上海标志性建筑东方明珠塔，俯瞰了上海金融中心陆家嘴、外滩的万国建筑和浦江两岸的繁华景象。我们去了城隍庙，领略了中国明代时期的建筑风貌及传统民俗民风，还品尝了上海传统美食。我们漫步在新天地、石库门，让他们真切地感受道上海的都市繁华和源远流长的海派文化。此外，我们还参观了上海城市规划馆、世博会博物馆、中华艺术宫、国际乒联博物馆等众多展馆。真是忙碌而充实的旅程啊！

In addition to classroom study, students from Mulgrave School, guided by teachers, came to visit various places of interest and historic sites in Shanghai. They went on the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, overlooking Shanghai’s financial center Lujiazui, the Bund’s World Architecture and the bustling scene on both sides of Huangpu River. They also visited the Chenghuang Temple, appreciating the architectural style and traditional folk customs of China in the Ming Dynasty. And they also tasted the traditional cuisine of Shanghai. They strolled in Xindiandi and visited Shikumen, so that they could truly feel the charm of Shanghai and the long history of its culture. In addition, they visited many exhibitions such as Shanghai Urban Planning Museum, World Expo Museum, Chinese Art Palace and International Table Tennis Federation Museum. What a busy and full journey!

值得一提的是在第一周周五的下午，中加师生一起进行了一次K歌大联谊。双方学生欢呼雀跃，一展歌喉。就连带队老师也被同学们的热情所感染，纷纷加入。我们在欢乐的歌声中又拉近了距离，加深了彼此的了解和友谊。这真是一次令人难忘的经历！

On the afternoon of the first Friday, teachers and students of Canada and China held a Karaoke party. They cheered and sang. Even the leading teachers were infected by the enthusiasm of the students and joined in succession. By singing, we drew closer and deepened mutual understanding and friendship. This was really an unforgettable experience!

快乐的时光总是这样短暂，天下没有不散的宴席，而离别是为了下一次的相聚。

分别的前一晚，中加师生来到了风景如画的千年古镇——七宝。我们携手漫步于古色古香的建筑之中，倾心交谈，杯觥交错，欢聚一堂。告别晚宴上，两校的校长还分别发表了热情洋溢的讲话。中加少年们友谊的种子在彼此心中生根发芽！中加文化在我们这些初中生身上相互碰撞，相互融合，产生奇妙的化学反应。我想说：“缘，妙不可言！”

Happy time goes so quickly, and parting is for the next reunion.

The night before their departure, teachers and students from both sides came to Qibao, a picturesque thousand-year-old town. We wandered hand in hand in the ancient buildings, having heartfelt conversation. On the farewell party, the principals of the two schools also delivered enthusiastic speeches. The seeds of friendship between Chinese and Canadian teenagers took root in each other’s hearts. Different culture collided and fused with each other in us, producing wonderful chemical reactions. I want to say, “Fate, marvelous!”

也期待今后更多的协和学子能有机会走出去学习，迎进来分享。领略不一样的风景，培养自己的世界视野与格局，做一个拥有国际视野的世界公民。在协和，当西方遇到东方，我们感到心中的幸福和肩上的责任。

It is also expected that more SUIS students will have the opportunity to go out to study in the future, enjoying the different sceneries, cultivating their own world vision, and thus becoming a world citizen. In harmony, when the West meets the East, we feel the happiness in our hearts and the responsibility on our shoulders.

十四天的时光飞逝而过，在轻松欢乐的晚会之后，我们互道珍重和感谢之情。之后会是长长的离别，但友情的芬芳四溢。我们共同经历的欢声笑语，共同学习的感悟收获，会成为记忆中的“小确幸”，温暖并鼓舞着我们继续成长前行。

Fourteen days passed by quickly. After a relaxed and happy evening party, we shared our feelings of treasure and gratitude. It will be a long departure, but the fragrance of friendship is overflowing. The laughter we had experienced together and the enlightenment we gained from learning each other will become the “little luck” in our memory, warming and inspiring us to continue to grow and move forward.
