The Closing Ceremony of 2018 Asian Carnival

“溯源东方印迹，揽胜亚洲传奇”，伴随着盛世唐朝的开幕式，我们开展了丰富多彩的学习活动，当大家还沉浸在各科的综合探究学习中意犹未尽时，12月14日早上8：30，我们迎来了闭幕式暨游园会。

“Tracking the Oriental Footprints, gasping at the beauty of Asian legends”. The opening ceremony of the flourishing Tang Dynasty paved the way for us to carry out a variety of learning activities. While we were still immersed in these wonderful opportunities of comprehensive and integrative inquiry learning, the closing ceremony of 2018 Asian Carnival and the School Fair were held in the Thespis hall at 8:30 am on the fourteenth of December.

2018年亚洲嘉年华体育学科展示，学生们学习了中国传统体育项目—武术。功夫心，中国魂。让孩子们领略了中国功夫的魅力！孩子们的呐喊和气势，给寒冷的冬日注入了一股热量！少年强则国强，尽管孩子们的招式还非常稚嫩可爱，但是中华武术精神，已经流淌在孩子们的心中，陪伴他们成长！

For the 2018 Asia carnival the students were trained in the ancient Chinese martial art Kung Fu. Over the past four weeks they practiced many different techniques and positions which they demonstrated yesterday morning in a whole Pioneer school performance. The students were dressed in traditional red and yellow Kung fu outfits which looked amazing. They did a brilliant performance that the PE teachers were very proud of.

上午8:30，学校大剧院济济一堂。在愉悦神秘的气氛中，2018年亚洲嘉年华闭幕式演出拉开了帷幕。三年级同学们带来了韩国新年歌曲《Sol Nal》，热情温暖的旋律带动了全场气氛。紧接着，二年级和五年级的同学们把我们带到了富有神秘色彩的印度，在塔布拉鼓独特的鼓点中，一张张生动的脸庞如花朵般摇曳生姿，娇美动人。四年级的同学们为我们带来了菲律宾歌曲《Leron Leron Sinta》，朗朗上口的旋律中蕴含着“只有付出努力才能得到成果”的人生哲理。他们还载歌载舞，原汁原味地再现了日本民众打渔时高唱劳动号子的热烈场面。可爱的一年级小朋友们演绎了日本和阿塞拜疆的儿歌，以及韩国和印度尼西亚的传统舞蹈。多才多艺的同学们还呈现了黎巴嫩和以色列的音乐剧的精彩片段。

The students from grade three brought the warm melody of the Korean New Year song “Sol Nal”, which set the stage for the wonderful atmosphere. Then, the second and fifth graders led us through the mysteries of India, with the unique drum beat of table. Their vivid faces were decorated with beautiful flowers that added to their charisma. The grade four students brought us the Philippine song《Leron Leron Sinta》. This moving song spoke of the philosophy of “it’s only by making efforts can we get results”. The energetic fourth graders sang and danced with joy, recreating the passionate scene of the Japanese people singing the labor song when they were fishing. The lovely children in grade one performed the songs of Japan and Azerbaijan, as well as the traditional dances of South Korea and Indonesia. These versatile students also presented wonderful musical scenes from Lebanon and Israel.

亚洲丰富多彩的乐声唤醒了我们的耳朵。在充满东方韵味的音乐剧《波斯市场》里，我们身临其境地跟着骆驼商队旅行，遇见了波斯公主，跟着乞丐们唱歌，观赏吹蛇人的表演，朝拜尊贵的国王。当我们探寻艺术的脚步来到中国时，耳边竟响起了非物质文化遗产——越剧的经典唱段《天上掉下个林妹妹》，现场又再度掀起了一波高潮。

The vibrant and colorful music of Asia has pricked our ears and evoked warm feelings for the region. In the performance “Persian Markets”, which was filled with Oriental rhymes, we experienced a journey with the camel caravan, met the princess of Persia, sang with the beggars, watched the performance of the snake and worshipped the king. Next, we traveled to China to explore its amazing art. We actually experienced the intangible cultural heritage through the classic song of Yue opera “Sister Lin fell from the sky”. This magical scene again set off a wave of excitement and wonder.

最后，全体同学在日本流行音乐的动感节奏中一起欢歌热舞，使全场气氛攀升到最高点。四位校长身着亚洲元素的美丽服装款款走上台来，为我们致闭幕词。2018年亚洲嘉年华闭幕式演出在阵阵掌声中圆满落幕。

At last, all the students sang and danced together to the dynamic rhythm of music popular in Japan. The responses of the audience climbed to the highest point of enjoyment and pleasure. Four principals dressed in Asian costumes came to the stage and gave us the closing speech. The performance of the closing ceremony of the Asian Carnival in 2018 came to a successful conclusion with a huge round of applause.

在表演进行的同时，每一个孩子都领到了属于自己的亚洲嘉年华护照，去参观每一间装扮一新的主题馆，玩起了有趣的游戏，还有机会获得各主题馆准备的奖品。等到护照上盖满了每一个主题馆的印章，就可以高高兴兴地到领奖中心换取自己心仪的奖品，而这本盖满印章的“亚洲护照”更是孩子们值得收藏的永久珍贵的纪念品。

Excited children received their own carnival passports and they went to different well-decorated classrooms to participate in the games during the Closing Ceremony performances. Children received a stamp after winning a game. Then they had a chance to choose their favorite prize according to the amount of stamps in their passports. The children not only received the prizes but also the passports with different Asian stamps as a memorabilia.

历时一个月的亚洲嘉年华徐徐落下帷幕，意犹未尽的各路来宾们挥手告别，心里则期待下一次征程的开启。在此，感谢所有为此辛勤忙碌的老师们、家长们和校区的行政团队，也要特别谢谢我们可爱的孩子们，他们勤奋学习，辛苦排练，在这一个月里完成的每一份作品，闭幕式上的每一场表演都精彩无限，给我们带来了太多的欢乐和感动，为他们而骄傲！

As the month-long Asian carnival drew to a close, visitors waved goodbye to the hard-working teachers and look forward with excitement to the next journey.Thank all of the diligent teachers, parents and the executive team, especially to our lovely children, who worked diligently, finished every assigned tasks throughout this month. Your wonderful performances at the Closing Ceremony, and the great joy and excitement that you did brought us pride.
