农历九月初九是我国传统节日重阳节。万源城协和双语学校在“中西合璧，传承经典”的办学理念下，为进一步弘扬中华民族尊老、爱老、敬老的传统美德，我校“万源之韵”艺术团走进古美街道敬老院，为老人们奉献了一台精彩的慰问演出。
On Wednesday, October 17, 2018, on the 9th day of the 9th lunar month, the Chinese traditional Double Ninth Festival is held. The SUIS Art Troupe went to the nursing home on GuMei Street, offering a wonderful performance for the elderly.
来到敬老院，当然少不了老人们最喜爱的传统戏曲。越剧《穆桂英挂帅》，艺术团的老师们唱腔俏丽多变，表演充沛，细腻有神；现代京剧沙家浜选段《祖国的好山河寸土不让》，艺术团的老师们唱的深入人心，鼓舞斗志；校戏曲队的孩子们带来了昆曲《游园》，字正腔圆、以声绘情，老人们和着唱腔的节奏，轻轻的叩击着节拍，听得神采飞扬，连连叫好！
No performance in a retirement home would be complete without the popular sounds of Chinese traditional opera. Yue opera Mu Gui Ying in command the teacher sang dynamically and engaged the audience in a powerful way. Peking Opera The mother land never to yield an inch of ground. The song resonated deeply in the hearts of the people, inspiring a fighting spirit. Finally, the students from the school opera club children performed a Kun opera song Pleasure Garden. The audience was immediately tapping along to the rhythm with big smiles on their faces.
“有弦相聚”–弦与弦的相聚是一种很玄妙的关系一如人与人的关系，就像我们万源城协和双语的师生在九九重阳节之际与古美社区敬老院的老人们相聚。外方老师Mr. Matt &Ms. Madeline携校吉他俱乐部弹唱了活泼又欢快的吉他串烧曲。潘栩诺古筝社团带来了古筝乐曲《茉莉芬芳》，一曲终了，余音绕梁。最后Mr. Matt &Ms. Madeline还吹奏了西洋乐器萨克斯风，为敬老活动带来了另一番别样特色的音乐展示。
The Guzheng performance of Jasmine Fragrance by Pan Xu Nuo evoked the images and smell of the beautiful jasmine flower. Next, the SUIS guitar class performed several lively songs in both English and Chinese accompanied by Mr. Kay, Ms. Madeline and Mr. Matt. The final performance was a saxophone and guitar duet featuring Ms. Madeline.
