今天上午，我们隆重举行了 “放眼看世界，放手去探索 —— 中德科学家对谈会”。此次活动我们邀请到了德国殿堂级百科全书《什么是什么》作者，曼弗雷德·鲍尔博士。他是德国自然科学家、纪录片制作人、作家，参与创作了《什么是什么》系列书籍。
This Friday, the school embarked on a journey of exploration! Dr. Manfred Baur, a German naturalist, documentary producer and writer, visited the school to talk about his book series “WAS IST WAS”.

此外，我们还邀请到了来自中国科学院的科学家、科普演讲团的焦维新教授。焦教授是北京大学地球与空间科学学院教授，在空间探测技术、行星科学以及空间天气学等领域都有深入的研究。
In addition, we also invited Professor Jiao Weixin, a scientist from the Chinese Academy of Science and a professor of Peking University’s School of Earth and Space Science. He specializes in the fields of space exploration technology, planetary science, and space weather science.
活动一开始，主持人首先向两位科学家抛出了许多火星的有趣话题：火星的环境是怎么样的？火星上有可能存在生命吗？人类未来有没有可能移居火星呢？这些问题让在场的孩子们睁大好奇的眼睛。中德科学家也不负孩子们的期待，对每一个问题都深入浅出地作答，介绍火星的环境、人类探索太空的努力…… 从土星五号到好奇者号，每一个主题都让在场的孩子连声赞叹。
To begin with, the moderator started the ball rolling with a few questions about Mars: “What’s it like? Is it possible to have life on Mars? Is there any possibility that human beings will move to Mars in the future?” Understandably the children were on tenterhooks as the Chinese and German scientists answered each question carefully. From Saturn V to Curiosity, the students were enthralled.
现场，欢笑声此起彼伏，孩子们切身感受科学的无穷魅力。中德两位科学家不仅解答了疑惑，还系统地讲解火星探测的奥秘，真是一场有趣的互动交流。
The Thespis hall was filled with gasps and exclamations of surprise and interest as everyone present enjoyed the charm of science! The two scientists not only answered any question thrown their way, they also systematically explained the mysteries of Mars exploration whilst interacting with both students and teachers.
孩子们听了科学家的一番对话，心中充满疑惑，他们的小手举起来就不愿意放下，问题千奇百怪，趣味无穷！
There was a fun and friendly atmosphere as students asked a plethora of weird and wonderful questions to try and satisfy their curious minds.
活动的最后，孩子们都迫不及待地请两位科学家签名，没想到他们对科学的兴趣都这么大！签好名，两位科学家爷爷还与孩子和老师们合影，勉励孩子们一定要好好学习科学知识，未来成为领跑世界的科学家。
To conclude the event, the students lined up in droves, clamoring to get their books signed by Dr. Manfred Baur, and don’t worry, the customary photo opportunity wasn’t missed! The scene was set: two grandfathers of science, standing shoulder to shoulder with the future!
