“Are you OK?”开学适应——初中部导师活动 Adapting Into the New Semester

At the beginning of the new semester, to help students adjust more quickly and smoothly to school life, the Middle School Division of our school organized a homeroom activity titled “Are You OK? Adapting Into the New Semester” on September 5. With the participation of both Chinese and international teachers, the event incorporated gamified and interactive sessions to guide students in sharing their summer experiences, recognizing their physical and emotional states, and learning effective strategies to embrace the new semester with a positive attitude.

# PART 01
“Top 5 Confusing Back-to-School Behaviors”
During the activity, the “Top 5 Confusing Back-to-School Behaviors” segment sparked continuous laughter, with scenarios like “The 8 AM Challenge” and “Homework Black Hole” resonating strongly among the students. In the “My Energy Detector” session, students carefully recorded their daily energy levels, learning to better understand themselves. The “Get Your Energy Boosters” section, which included group discussions and strategy talks, helped students understand the causes of post-holiday syndrome and master practical methods such as “task breakdown,” “bedtime rituals,” and “study buddy alliances.”

# PART 02
“Energy Buddy Creation Corner”

In the “Energy Buddy Creation Corner” part, students designed their own energy-boosting companions with drawings and words, writing motivational slogans to cheer each other on. Throughout the activity, students openly expressed their true feelings about the new semester, releasing pent-up stress and gaining a sense of support and belonging through group interactions.

This homeroom activity featured a lively format that closely connected with students’ psychological needs as well as highlighted the educational role of integrating moral and mental health education. It reflects the school’s consistent commitment to supporting student growth and prioritizing psychological well-being.

Wish every student to start filled with energy and confident for the new school year!
